The Arizona State Science Standard for 7th grade can be found at this link. The Arizona State Science Standard for all grade levels can be found at, http://www.ade.state.az.us/standards/science/articulated.asp . You may notice that the AIMS standard seems a little slim in content compared to the National Standards. The goal is that all students become scientifically literate; to acquire the skills and knowledge of inquiry, understand the history and nature of science, as well as how science and technology are interdependent and affect our environment and therefore human kind. These goals can be reached through more in-depth levels of exploration in fewer content areas at different grade levels.
